Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Medical Sciences (ABVIMS), New Delhi, is a government medical institute established in 2008 for postgraduate courses. It started the MBBS program in 2019. Located in Connaught Place, it is part of Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital. The institute offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and super-specialty programs in medicine. It is affiliated with Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University and approved by the National Medical Commission (NMC). ABVIMS provides courses like MBBS, MD, MS, DM, M.Ch, and DNB.

The most popular course today is MBBS, with no specific specializations at the undergraduate level. The first-year fee for MBBS is INR 53,000. Admission to MBBS requires passing 10+2 with 50% in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English, and qualifying in the NEET-UG exam, followed by MCC Counseling. The institute has 100 MBBS seats. For postgraduate courses like MD and MS (166 seats), admission is through NEET-PG, and for super-specialty courses like DM and M.Ch (41 seats), it is through NEET-SS.

Students at ABVIMS Delhi become job-eligible after completing the 5.5-year MBBS course, which includes a 1-year compulsory internship with a monthly stipend of INR 24,000 to INR 30,000. After the internship, most students are placed in government or private hospitals, with a starting salary of around INR 1,00,000 per month.
