Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical University (ABVMU), Lucknow is a state health science university established in 2016 by the Government of Uttar Pradesh. It serves as the affiliating university for government and private medical, dental, nursing, and allied healthcare colleges across Uttar Pradesh and is recognised under the relevant central regulatory bodies, including the NMC, DCI, and INC, through its affiliated institutions. The university headquarters is located in Lucknow, while teaching, training, and placement activities sit at the affiliated colleges, including major institutional partners such as KGMU Lucknow, SGPGIMS Lucknow, RMLIMS Lucknow, UPUMS Saifai, and LLRM Meerut.
