Central Institute of Tool Design - [CITD]

Central Institute of Tool Design (CITD), Hyderabad, is a public institute established in 1968 by the Government of India along with assistance from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the International Labour Organisation (ILO). It is a pioneer institute in the country focusing on the field of Tool engineering, and operates as an autonomous institute under the Ministry of MSME. CITD Hyderabad offers its programs in affiliation with the State Board of Technical Education and Training, Hyderabad, and Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad.

CITD Hyderabad offers a diploma in engineering, which stands as the flagship program, in four specializations: Tool, Die & Mould, Production, Electronics & Comm, and Automation & Robotics. Diploma in Tool, Die & Mould is a 4-year program, while the other three are 3 years each in duration. The tuition fee is INR 44,000 per year.

The program is offered to 10th pass applicants via an entrance exam conducted by CITD. CITD Hyd
