CEPT University Ahmedabad was established in 1962 by the Ahmedabad Education Society (AES) with support from the Government of Gujarat and the Government of India. It is a private university recognized by the UGC. It is also recognized as a Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (SIRO) by the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR).
