CSVTU was established in 2005 by the Chhattisgarh State Government. The university is AICTE, UGC and MHRD approved. CSVTU offers UG, PG, Diploma, and PhD programs in the disciplines of Engineering, Architecture, Pharmacy, Management, etc. Admission to the programs is either entrance-based or merit-based. CSVTU BTech is the flagship course, offered in 2 specialisations. Candidates should have cleared 10+2 with 75% to be eligible for admission. Final selection of candidates is based on JEE Main/CG-PET scores, followed by Counselling. As per the official JoSAA website, the total intake is 90 seats. CSVTU BTech fees is INR 1.5 Lakhs - INR 4.16 Lakhs, based on the specialisation. CSVTU Bhilai provides AICTE's scholarship and fellowship initiatives for deserving students such as the Pragati Scholarship Scheme for Girl Students (Degree and Diploma), and the Saksham Scholarship Scheme for Specially Abled Students (Degree and Diploma).
