SMS CUSAT is one of South India’s leading management schools nurturing astute and socially responsible leaders. It is my privilege and delight to present to you the MBA batch from School of Management Studies (SMS), CUSAT. These students are equipped with strong fundamentals in business management topped with industrial exposure that enhances their leadership and managerial skills. The curriculum of our school is industry responsive and sharply aligned to high level learning outcomes to ensure that students imbibe academic concepts and develop sound analytical and decision making skills required to become influential leaders of tomorrow.

Our students are handpicked from a plethora of academic and cultural backgrounds making them adaptable to any situation and circumstance. Thanks to the tough academic rigour and dynamic learning environment we offer through our intensive campus to corporate training program, our students have the ability to work independently as well as in teams. Through fruitful faculty-student interaction and community-student initiatives , we have also tried to build foundations of good human values and ethics in them. We have a dynamic batch of youngsters eager to enter the corporate world and leave a lasting mark of their own. I am sure that our students would not just be meeting their targets but would surpass them, making themselves valuable assets to your organisation. All the students of the MBA programs at SMS, CUSAT, completing the second semester (full-time) and fourth semester (part-time) are required to successfully complete 45 days’ Organisation Familiarisation Exercise through an internship cum Project Work assignment in an organisation of their choice. A plethora of organisations have wholeheartedly welcomed our students into their workplace in creating a mutually enriching experience. These organisations include big names like Lulu Group, ICICI Bank, Infosys, and Byju’s and many more.

The Career development and Placement Cell at the School of Management Studies, CUSAT is a well-oiled machinery propelled by the dynamic student team. SMS has hosted over 100 recruiters over the years and placed over 1500 students, thanks to the concerted teamwork powering it. The placement wing functions under the inspirational mentorship of Dr. Sam Thomas (Dean) and the proactive guidance of Dr. Jagathyraj V.P (Director) and is presently led by Dr. Manu Melwin Joy, Dr. Smiju I.S. and their student co-ordinators. Members closely coordinate with recruiters from leading corporate houses round the year, with the aim of facilitating placements for every eligible student before course completion.

Career development and Placement Cell also assists students in upping their employability quotient through Personality Development programs, campus to corporate programs, Aptitude training, domain-specific skills training, active associations with professional bodies, Webinars, Seminars and the like. The team also enables In-house Training, Projects, and Internships with corporates to provide a comprehensive industry orientation to students before they embark on their careers.
