<h2>Library Facilities at Maulana Azad Medical College</h2>
<p>The library at Maulana Azad Medical College (MAMC) is fully air-conditioned. It has a large collection of books and journals.</p>
<p>Separate reading rooms are available for students. These rooms allow students to study until late hours. The library has multiple computer stations with LAN and Internet connectivity. Online access to journals is available through these computers.</p>

<h2>Library Collection</h2>
<p>The library collection includes books, journals, theses, and e-journals. Books are arranged on shelves using the Dewey Decimal Scheme of classification.</p>
<p>Current journals and back volumes are arranged alphabetically by title. Within each title, journals are arranged in chronological order.</p>

<h2>Who Can Use the Library</h2>
<p>Membership is open to faculty, staff, and students of Maulana Azad Medical College and its associated institutions.</p>
<p>Paramedical staff includes Lab technicians, Pharmacists, Dietitians, Radiographers, Physiotherapists, and similar roles.</p>

<h2>Book Issuing Rules</h2>
<p>Reading material will be issued and returned only at specified timings. The duration of loan is as follows:</p>

<h2>Departmental Borrowing</h2>
<p>Each department can borrow a few books for ready reference. Only books with more than one copy can be issued to a department.</p>
<p>Issuing requires the signature of the departmental head. If only one copy of a book exists, it stays in the reference section of the main library. The department must keep a proper record of these books and is responsible for them.</p>

<h2>Lost Borrower's Ticket</h2>
<p>If a borrower's ticket is lost, the loss must be reported in writing to the library immediately. A duplicate ticket will be issued within six weeks of the report.</p>
<p>The fee for a duplicate ticket is Rs.100/- per ticket. The member remains responsible for any loss the library may suffer due to misuse of the ticket.</p>
<p>The member's liability continues until the cards are surrendered or the loss is reported to the library. Library tickets of habitual defaulters can be detained for 6 months. Entry to the library can be banned during this period.</p>
