<h2>Central Library Overview</h2>
<p>The Central Library at NIT Trichy holds more than two and a half lakh documents. These include technical books, reports, standards, CD-ROMs, audio-visual educational materials, and back volumes of journals.</p>
<p>The library subscribes to 78 print periodicals. It also provides access to 13,000+ e-journals through ONOS resources and 1,800+ e-books.</p>

<h2>Library Collections</h2>
<p>The library houses 17,690 back volumes of journals. It also has 16,750 books under the Book Bank Scheme.</p>

<h2>Digital Facilities</h2>
<p>The Digital Knowledge Centre has 30 computer systems with internet connectivity. These systems support e-learning and access to digital resources.</p>
<p>The entire Central Library is Wi-Fi enabled. Students, faculty members, and researchers get seamless internet access for academic and research activities.</p>
<p>The library provides access to electronic resources, online databases, e-books, e-journals, and digital learning materials. Online catalogue access is available for books, reports, theses, and project reports.</p>

<h2>Security Systems</h2>
<p>The Central Library has a 24 × 7 CCTV surveillance system. Cameras are installed throughout the premises, including reading halls, floors, and stack areas.</p>
<p>RFID-based Document Identification and Library Security Systems have been in place since 29th March 2013. These systems improve library automation, service efficiency, and resource security.</p>
