SMVDU Katra has a training and placement cell that provides excellent facilities that help the graduates get placed in top companies. The cell provides helps to the recruiters for pre-placement discussions, conducting tests & interviews and other assistance from the campus team. According to the report, around 23 recruiters participated in the 2020 placement drive which is the highest number of recruiters to participate compared to the past years. More than 150 students got selected by reputed recruiters. Infosys made the highest number of placement offers. Other recruiters include TCS, ICICI Prudential, Wipro Ltd, ICICI Bank, Ericsson Global, EZMATA Technologies etc.

SMVDU has scholarships for aspirant candidates. But the candidates need to score a CGPA of 7.50 minimum with no backlogs in each semester to avail themselves the scholarships.

For BTech:

• Up to 30,000 AIR(CRL) in JEE Main: Full Tuition Fee Waiver for the first 5 semesters.
• Above 50,000 & up-to 1,00,000 AIR(CRL) in JEE (Mains): Full Tuition Fee waiver for first 03 semesters.

For MBA:

• Above 90% in MAT/CMAT: Full Tuition Fee waiver for I year & 50% Tuition Fee waiver for 2nd Year.
• Between 85 to 90% in MAT/CMAT: Full Tuition Fee waiver for 1st year.
