IIM Nagpur offers admission to MBA, EMBA, PhD programs. Admission to these courses is based on past academic performance and a written test, followed by a personal interview conducted by the university. The selection procedure for MBA and EMBA is done in three stages: Stage 1, Stage 2, and Stage 3. The sum of all the scores obtained in these stages will create a final score according to which the candidates will be selected. IIM Nagpur MBA Admissions 2026
IIM Nagpur offers an MBA (PGPM) as its flagship course. Some of the specializations offered in MBA are Economics, Operations, Public Policy, Entrepreneurship, Human Resource Management, Behavior Sciences, Marketing, General Management, Accounting, and Finance.

IIM Nagpur MBA Eligibility
- For domestic candidates: To be eligible for admission, candidates must have a graduation degree from a recognized board.
- For Overseas candidates: To be eligible for admission, they must have an Undergraduate degree or higher (in any discipline) with a minimum of three years duration from a university recognized by the AIU, with a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent GPA.

In Stage 1, CAT scores are considered for domestic candidates, and GMAT scores are considered for Overseas applicants. The cutoff scores for both CAT and GMAT are given below-

Below is the scoring system that IIM Nagpur will use to evaluate the candidates. The following scores and steps are part of Stage 2 in the selection process.
Entrance Test Scores For Indian Candidates:The CAT score will be between 0-10.
CAT Score Rating = (Total CAT score obtained by the candidate / Maximum total CAT score) *10
The Maximum CAT score is the highest CAT score secured by a candidate among the candidates who are eligible for the admission process in IIM Nagpur as per the cut-off.
Entrance Test Scores For Overseas CandidatesThe GMAT rating score will be awarded between 0-10.
GMAT Score Rating = (GMAT score obtained by the candidate / Maximum GMAT score) *10
The Maximum GMAT score will be 800.

- Candidates with relevant work experience will be awarded scores based on the number of months they have worked. The work experience scoring remains the same for Indian and Overseas candidates Terms & conditions applicable for showcasing work experience.
- Only full-time and paid experience after graduation will be considered. Part-time/Project/Internship/CA Articleship/Training/Apprenticeship/Pre-graduation work experience/ work experience, which involves payment as a stipend, will not be considered.
- A valid proof of the date of appointment, date of relieving/ work experience certificate, and proof of payment/salary must be submitted.
- Work experience for employment involving cash payment of salary without a salary slip or proof will not be considered.
- For candidates having work experience in a family business valid proof of the existence of the business, the association of the candidate with the business/family, and the role of the individual in the business, along with proof of payment during work experience, must be submitted.
- In the case of multiple companies’ work experience, the total work experience will be added up, and every 30 days will be accounted for as 1 month.
