Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University (BRAU), Srikakulam has been established by Andhra Pradesh State Government in 2008. Presently the university offers various UG and PG courses in the field of arts, science, commerce, law, business etc, through 18 departments.

For admission to the LL.B. and the integrated B.A.LL.B. course, the candidate must have have obtained a rank in LAWCET, a state-level undergraduate law entrance exam administered online by the university.

Admission to most of the postgraduate courses are done through Andhra University Common Entrance Test (AUCET) examination. The university considers the marks obtained by the candidates in their previous qualifying examination and in AUCET examination for preparation of the merit list for various courses. For all the other PG courses, admission will be purely based on the merit of the candidates in the previous qualifying examination.

For the research courses, the university also conducts a separate entrance test called Dr. BRAURESET entrance exam.

Key Points to Note :

•  Applications should be submitted through online only.
• In every course of study and category 85% of the available seats are reserved in favour of the Local Candidates from the districts of Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, East Godavari, West Godavari, Krishna, Guntur and Prakasam belonging to Andhra University area.
• The remaining 15% seats can be competed by the locals and non-locals.
• Only local candidates are eligible for admission under NCC, PH, CAP, NSS and Sports categories.
• 33.33% of the seats in each course shall be reserved in favour of women candidates in each category. This rule of reservation shall not be applicable if women candidates selected on merit in each category form 33.33% or more of the seats therein.BRAU Srikakulam UG Admission.

Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University (BRAU) offers a number of UG courses in the field of Arts, Commerce, Science, Law and Education. In addition, it also offers bachelor’s degree in business administration. Duration of all these UG courses are 3 years except LL.B. (5 years).

Admission to the regular and integrated LL.B. course is done based on the rank obtained by the candidates in AP-LAWCET (Andhra Pradesh Common Entrance Test for law programmes.

Admission to all the other UG courses at BRAU is done on the basis of marks obtained at the 10+2 or equivalent level.
