Hyderabad, July 29, 2026: The Twenty Seventh Convocation of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Open University will be held in the month of October, 2026.

Students who successfully completed their Degree, PG, M.Phil, Ph.D., Diploma, and various certificate programs from June 2024 and June 2025 are eligible to apply for the Convocation. The candidates who wish to attend the convocation in person are advised to apply online by paying a fee of ₹500. similarly, candidates unable to attend the convocation in person may apply online under the "Degree in Absentia" mode by paying a fee of ₹600. Those students applying under the "Degree in Absentia" certificates will be sent directly to their addresses through Speed Post after the Convocation.

The last date for online registration is September 9, 2026. Applicants can register through the websites www.braou.ac.in or www.braouonline.in. The applications received after September 9, as well as incomplete applications, would be rejected.

Hyderabad, July 20, 2026: Prof. Ghanta Chakrapani, Vice-Chancellor, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Open University and Dr. Soundarya Joseph, State Project Officer, PM-USHA inaugurated the newly established "Information and Communication Technology" (ICT) labs at the administrative building at the Campus on Monday. Prof. Ghanta Chakrapani emphasized that, given the rapidly evolving modern technological landscape, faculty members must master ICT skills; only then can students in universities and colleges be equipped to compete effectively in the global market. He revealed that the ICT labs at Ambedkar Open University were established with financial assistance from PM-USHA precisely with this objective in mind. He noted that the inauguration of these state-of-the-art ICT labs marks another significant step towards strengthening digital education at the university. He explained that university faculty members need to embrace modern knowledge in line with market changes and master the latest innovations in their respective fields only then will they be able to effectively mold the students studying in their institutions into high-caliber individuals.

Distinguished Guest Dr.Soundarya Joseph, State Project Officer, PM-USHA said that Ambedkar University is moving forward with the goal of comprehensively integrating modern technology and Information and Communication Technology (ICT) into higher education. She noted that enhancing the faculty's ICT proficiency for digital teaching would ultimately benefit the students. She assured that the government would provide the necessary support for developing infrastructure and expanding technology as the university advances towards digital training and instruction.
