DR. KIRAN C. PATEL MEDICAL COLLEGE & RESEARCH INSTITUTE-BHARUCH New Brownfield Medical College under health policy-2016 of Government of Gujarat Managed By RUDRAKSH ACADEMY PRIVATE LIMITED-VADODARA

To serve the needs of the patients and bring world-class medical education to the rural and tribal interiors of Gujarat, the Government of Gujarat and Rudraksh Academy Private Limited, Vadodara (RAPL) has established a new Self Financed Brown Field Medical College at New Civil Hospital Campus, Bharuch, as per the Health Policy -2016 under the Public Private Partnership (PPP) model. Health Policy – 2016 is aiming to curtail the Doctors-Patients ratio in the state of Gujarat by encouraging private players to join the medical education sector by upgrading the existing District General Hospital for the establishment of new self financed (Brown Field) medical colleges attached to such hospital.

As part of this, the Government of Gujarat has given the existing General Hospital including land, existing buildings, instruments, equipments and employees on loan and other infrastructure on lease rent for the period of 33 years to run, upgrade and manage for the establishment of a new medical college to Rudraksh Academy Private Limited, Vadodara. The campus will be an additional hub for the aspiring medical students and professionals with the state of the art hospital amenities and facilities.

The Prime Endeavour of the Promoters of Rudraksh Academy Private Limited is Shree Krishna Educational and Charitable Trust which has proven expertise in the management of the UG and PG Level Higher Educational Institutions at the BITS Edu Campus, Varnama-Vadodara namely Babaria Institute of Technology, Babaria Institute of Pharmacy and BITS Institute of Physiotherapy for the last 15 years with a number of rankers from the Gujarat Technological University and Shri Guru Govind University. The BITS Edu Campus itself is the model of the modern and standard infrastructure. The Trust also runs and manages 60 beds Matrusri Davalba Ayurved Hospital at BITS Edu Campus on free of cost basis for the local and surroundings villagers and has all set for the state of the art Hospital attached to the Krishna Ayurved Medical College. The Trust has also started Matrusri Davalben D. Patel Girl’s Hostel to cater the Girls Students of the BITS Edu Campus, Varnama-Vadodara.

The Founder and Chief Executive Officer Shree Jagdishbhai Patel is actively participating member of the Trustee Board of Shree Sardar Patel Health Foundation which manages the 60 bedded R. M. S. Hospital, Dhandhuka, serving with personal interest and enthusiasm in the administration and management of the Hospital since 2003.

With this strong background, New Self Financed Brown Field Medical College, Bharuch aspires to set new benchmarks in Health, Medical Education and Research in the State of Gujarat and will support the Health Policy – 2016 of the Government at large.

The Company RAPL is a private limited company incorporated in 2008 with objectives to provide facilities of higher education in various streams of Science, Technology, paramedical and Medical. It is also in the management of Shri Durlabhbhai B. Sanghani Boys Hostel – a home away from home – which is providing three star Hostel facilities to the students of BITS Edu Campus from all over India at Varnama, Vadodara.
