Dr. S. & S. S. Gandhi Government Engineering College commonly referred to as GEC Surat, is a government‑run engineering college in Surat, Gujarat, established in 2004, approved by AICTE and affiliated with Gujarat Technological University (GTU), and accredited by NBA. GEC Surat offers various courses in UG & PG which include B.E. in core branches (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics & Communication, Environmental, and Computer Engineering), along with M.E. options in select areas. B.E. is the Flagship course of the College. Admission to B.Tech is through JEE Main and GUJCET scores, requiring at least 45% marks in PCM at the 10+2 level. Placement data for the year 2025 has not been released yet. But, previous year trends and our research says that the highest package offered was INR 8-9 LPA with average salary of INR 4.4 LPA. Top recruiters include TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, Cognizant, IBM.
