The Galgotias University is one of few Universities in India that have implemented Outcome Based Education since its inception. All departments of the University have stated their Vision, Mission which is aligned with University’s Vision and Mission, and also defined Program Outcomes, Program Specific Outcomes (PSOs), and Course Outcomes (COs), which are integrated into the Curriculum and assessment process.

Galgotias University adopted student-centric methodologies of education that include experiential learning, participative learning, and problem-solving methodologies to enhance the learning experience and ensure the active engagement of the students.

University introduced the Choice Based Credit System in 2012 and further updated it in 2019 under NEP. The university promotes an interdisciplinary approach by offering Interdisciplinary projects, honors, Minor specialization, integrated degree in engineering and management, applications, and dual specializations. Each program has professional core and elective courses along with university core courses and open electives.

University offers value-addition courses like Behavioural Science, Foreign Language, liberal arts & creative arts, NCC, NSS, professional ethics and human values, Professional Ethics and Accountability, Business Ethics & Corporate Governance, Business Ethics and CSR, Bioethics and Biosafety, Ethical, Ethical Hacking Fundamentals, Physiotherapy Laws, Enhancing Professional Capacities for holistic development of the students. The University has created multiple platforms to incubate Professional Ethics, Gender, Human Values, Environment, and Sustainability in the students through practice.

The University has established a school specially to inculcate life-long learning skills (SLLL) amongst students of all programmes. The school guides the students in professional skills, aptitude grooming, logic building, communication skills, works on the “Campus to Corporate” Program, and takes care of extra-curricular and co-curricular skills building.
