About the Institution
Government College of Engineering (GCE) Kannur was established in 1986 as one of Kerala's leading public engineering colleges. The college is located in a picturesque area of Mangattuparamba, Kannur. GCEK is approved by the AICTE and is affiliated with the APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University (KTU) and all of the undergraduate programmes are accredited with the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) from 2023-2026.
GCE Kannur has consistently ranked among the best colleges of engineering in Kerala and India. GCEK was ranked 78 out of 160 engineering colleges in India in the IIRF 2024 rankings. Admission to B.Tech, GCEK's flagship programme, is dictated by the popular Kerala Engineering Architecture Medical (KEAM) entrance exam, and has a high demand.
