Government college of Engineering, Keonjhar was established as Orissa School of Mining Engineering (Degree Stream) in the year 1995 and has established itself as one of the premier institution in various fields and their achievements stand as a testimony to our endeavour and their hard work.

Odisha being a state is filled with potential but an untapped pool of talent. All the students of GCE undergo a compulsory semester internship during 6th semester in various companies and research institutes. An enabling environment is made for these students, giving them a choice of more than 20 cultural clubs and technical societies in order to develop them as creators, performers and problem solvers. I am confident that these students will make a mark wherever they go and make their alma mater proud.

Training and Placement cell GCE provides placement assistance to the students. Various personality development programs, group discussions, seminars,etc. are convened from time to time and sharpen the quality and skill of the students .Companies are invited for on-campus selections through institution’s industrial link ups. Many companies visit the college to recruit students. Training and placements is responsible for liasoning with various companies for summer training programme.
