Government Institute of Medical Sciences (GIMS) is an autonomous, government-run medical institution. It is affiliated with Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical University, Uttar Pradesh.
The institution is approved by the National Medical Commission (NMC) and recognized by the Indian Nursing Council (INC). The campus is spread over 56 acres and is located within the Gautama Buddha University campus. The land was provided by the Government of Uttar Pradesh.
GIMS is the only institution in Uttar Pradesh with NABH and NABL accreditations from QCI. In 2025, mykollege.in ranked GIMS 112th out of 660 institutions in India in the Medical stream.
