The Government Mizoram Law College was established in 1983 and is the sole law college present in the state of Mizoram. Earlier known as Aizawl Law College it is a deemed institute providing legal education for the aspiring youth and facilitating employment in legal and judicial fields. The college is located in the western part of Aizawl city, Mizoram. It is accredited with a Grade ‘C’ by NAAC and an SGPA of 1.97. Government Mizoram Law College has been affiliated to the Bar Council of India (BCI) and Mizoram University (MZU), Aizawl. The college is a single Faculty Institution as it provides a three-year unitary course of law i.e. LL.B. The minimum eligibility to apply for the L.L.B course is a graduate degree from a recognized university. The admissions will be granted on the basis of an entrance test conducted by the college.
