GVMC Vellore is a state government medical college established in 2005. It is affiliated with Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University. It is recognized by the Medical Council of India (NMC). As per MyKollege Ranking 2025, it has been ranked 148th in India and 19th in Tamil Nadu. It offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses in medicine. MBBS is offered as the flagship program at GVMC Vellore. For admission to the MBBS program, candidates must have passed 10+2 with physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English with at least 50% marks from a recognised board. Students also need to appear for the NEET UG entrance examination, followed by the Tamil Nadu State Counselling conducted by the Directorate of Medical Education (DME).
