This is the ideology on which the Training and Placement cell of this institute operates. The Training and Placement cell is an integral part of Guru Tegh Bahadur Institute of Technology (GTBIT) and operates with a high degree of professionalism. It plays a pivotal role in identifying job opportunities for young engineers graduating from GTBIT by liaising with reputed industrial organisations. GTBIT aims to provide these students with a platform to unleash their potential and groom them into young professionals. It cell has always aimed to provide data to the corporate sector about candidates available for placement, aligning with their specific requirements. Throughout the year, training activities are organized with the primary goal of enhancing student’s capabilities in today’s competitive technical environment, focusing on technical expertise and effective interpersonal skills. It acts as an interface between the institute and corporate entities by inviting them to the campus, where eligible students undergo the entire selection process. The process is governed by the student's abilities and performance as well as the requirements and norms of the industry. It systematically aligns final-year students' career aspirations with corporate expectations by providing comprehensive training.

All the reputed organizations as well as the Institute has been incurring considerable expenditure along with their valuable time on the placement activities of pre final year engineering students. Therefore, a student not joining the organization after being finally selected reflects adversely on the Institute and as a result the organization tends to discontinue their visit to the Institute for future placements. This jeopardizes the career opportunities for future students. Taking this fact into consideration, the students therefore should consider appearing in only such campus drives where they are willing to take up the job. Appearing in the campus drives just for the sake of testing their abilities should be avoided. Those who have seriously decided to go for higher studies (National/ International) should refrain themselves from sitting in the campus placements held in the Institute premises or any other Pool campus drives. Placement is a facility provided by the Institute and it cannot be claimed as a matter of right.
