IIT Bhilai offers a diverse array of undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs designed to provide both breadth and depth in technical education, supported by hands-on learning and a project-based approach. The institute currently offers: •BTech Programs in: Computer Science and Engineering, Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science and Metallurgical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, and Electronics and Communication Engineering. •MTech Programs in: Bioengineering, Biomedical Devices, Computer Science and Engineering, Data Science and AI, Electric Vehicle Technology, Power Systems and Power Electronics, Control and Instrumentation, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Microelectronics and VLSI, Materials Science and Metallurgical Engineering, Design and Manufacturing, Thermal and Fluids Engineering, and Mechatronics Engineering. •M.Sc. Programs in: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Computing. •PhD Programs across multiple disciplines including: Bioscience and Biomedical Engineering, Chemistry, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Data Science and AI, Liberal Arts, Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, and Physics.

Our curriculum encourages interdisciplinary learning, includes liberal and creative arts, and offers BTech Honors options for specialization. The primary motivation is to provide a comprehensive yet flexible learning environment by atomizing courses providing breadth as well as depth, with stress on project-based and hands-on teaching. At the same time the curriculum advocates in favour of courses in Liberal arts and Creative arts to impart a more holistic education.

So far, six successful placement sessions have been conducted, with over 650 offers extended to students. Leading recruiters include Google, Amazon, HPCL, Warner Bros Discovery, MECON, DE Shaw, Intuit, Applied Materials, Sprinklr, Commvault, Paytm, Schneider Electric, Mesho, Atonarp, Dunzo, AirAsia Technology Centre, and Larsen & Toubro, among others. The next campus placement session 2025-2026 is going to commence in September 2025 and is expected to achieve even greater heights.

In the summer of 2025, more than 85 internship offers were received by our students from several reputed organizations. Major internship recruiters were Google, NVIDIA, Warner Bros Discovery, ICICI Bank, TCS Research, Publicis Sapient, Assurant, Bhilai Steel Plant, etc. BTech third-year students are available for internships during their summer (May–July, approximately 10 weeks) and winter (December, approximately 4 weeks) vacations. Additionally, final-year BTech students have the flexibility to pursue a 6-month internship either in their 7th semester (August–December) or 8th semester (January–June), depending on the company's preferences.
