Indore Institute of Law (IIL), Indore is a private institute established in 2003. It is affiliated to DAVV and approved by the Bar Council of India.

The institute has more than 17 years of experience. It is also ranked by Competition Success Review.

IIL Indore offers 5 courses in law: 4 undergraduate and 1 postgraduate. The courses are LLB (Hons.), BALLB (Hons.), BBA LLB (Hons.) with Global and Transnational Studies, and LLM.

Admissions to the courses are conducted on the basis of the IILET, CLAT, or LSAT examinations. The admission criteria is both merit-based and entrance-based.

The application mode is online and offline. Candidates must meet the eligibility criteria for their chosen course before applying.

Indore Institute of Law (IIL) selects undergraduate (UG) students on the basis of merit and postgraduate (PG) students through an entrance exam. A student's performance in 10+2 examinations, undergraduate study, and the entrance exam is considered during admissions.

For UG admissions, the institute considers the IILET exam conducted by the institute and other national exams like CLAT/LSAT. PG admissions are done on the basis of performance in undergraduate study. The final list of selected students is posted on the college website or the campus notice board.

The application procedure begins once the institute releases the registration dates, usually at the end of February. Applicants must register on the student's corner to access all e-resources.

• Pay INR 1100 as the registration and entrance exam charges using online payment options.

• Take hard copies of required documents, self-attested, to the campus.
• The admission committee posts the final list of selected students on the campus notice board and e-mails them to pay admission fees.

Undergraduate Placements

In 2019, 214 students were recruited with an average salary package of 6-7 lakhs per annum. The highest package was recorded around 9 lakhs per annum by companies like Trilegal, Tata Motors, and ONGC.

Postgraduate Placements

Companies like Indian Oil, Bharti Infratel Limited, Jaypee Group, and Kotak Mahindra Bank visited the campus last year. Around 135 students were recruited under Masters of Legislative Law, with an average package of 5-8 lakhs per annum and the highest package at 8.5 lakhs per annum.

Indore Institute of Law offers multiple scholarship options for students with good grades and reserved categories.

• IILET Scholarship: For undergraduate students who appeared for the IILET exam. Students with division 1 scores get a concession of INR 30,000 if they apply before the 15th, and INR 15,000 if they apply after the 15th.
• Meritorious Scholarship: Students securing 90.5% and above in 10+2 exams get a 20% tuition fee concession. Students scoring 85.5%-90% get a 15% concession.
• Sports Scholarship: Applicants who have represented the country in national and international sports events get a 10% fee concession.
• Physically Challenged Scholarship: As per the Person with Disability Act, students with any physical disability get a 10% fee concession.

Indore Institute of Law has basic amenities for law students. The facilities include a conference hall, seminar hall, cafeteria, moot court, and library.

Hostel Facility

Separate hostels are available for boys and girls from outside Madhya Pradesh. Both AC and Non-AC rooms are offered in double and triple sharing.

Society Chamber

The institute has a soundproof room for meetings and workshops. It was inaugurated by the institute for this purpose.

Library

The library is one of the largest law book sections. It holds more than 13,000 general volumes and 1,800 reference books.

Computer Lab

Every student can use the internet through the computer lab. More than 100 computer systems are installed with strong Wi-Fi.

Cafeteria and Playground

The canteen serves food at cheap rates. The playground includes a basketball court, tennis court, cricket training nets, and a football ground. All courts have mat flooring, and water and food facilities are provided.

Seminar Room

This area is used for seminars when the society chamber and conference room are occupied. It has a seating capacity of 170 people with furnished flooring and furniture.

The faculty includes experienced staff as well as young and creative members. The team comprises assistant professors, head professors, human resource staff, and research staff.

What are the hostel timings?

The hostel serves both day scholars and night scholars with different entry and exit timings. Day scholars must enter by 8 pm, and night scholars can stay out until 9 am. An advance application must be given to the hostel in charge for being late beyond these times.

Is there a sports quota for admissions?

Yes, sports quota is available for students with national or international sports appearances. No seats are allocated, but a 10% fee concession is provided. Certificates of appreciation must be attached with admission documents.

Are there any summer internships offered?

Yes, various law firms recruit students for pre-placement offers lasting 3-4 months. A NOC is given to selected students for leaves during exams and short breaks for college work. Firms include LLP, PINAKIN, Ambroz, UKY, and more.

Do only law firms visit the campus for job recruitment?

No, companies like Kotak Mahindra Bank, Indian Oil, Wips, ONGC, and Bharti Infratel have recruited students. The average package was 6-7 lakhs per annum, and the highest package was 13 lakhs per annum in 2018.
