The Career Development Cell (CDC) at IIST is accountable to upgrade employability, aptitude and overall grooming in the students to speak with greater fluency, accuracy, and confidence in order to excel in life.

Career development cell provides PDP Classes to all students from 1st year itself.Personality grooming is defined as a process of developing and enhancing one’s personalityin gaining confidence and high self-esteem. The learning’sinculcates a positive impact on one’s communication skills and the way he sees the world. Every individual has his own characteristic way of behaving, responding to emotions, perceiving things and looking at the world. No two individuals are similar. What an individual sees in his childhood days and most importantly his growing days form his personality outlook. How an individual is raised, plays an important role in shaping his personality. Personality is nothing but the aggregate conglomeration of memories and incidents in an individual’s entire life span. Environmental factors, family background, financial conditions, genetic factors, situations and circumstances also contribute to an individual’s personality. CDC at IISTorganizes regular PDP sessions and Expert lectures on grooming from time to time and sessions according to the time table. The students learn to improve on their Speaking skills, Reasoning, Group Discussions, Interview skills, Verbal Ability and crack Mock Tests in the course of time

CDC provides quantitative aptitude classes for all aspiring students opting for Government exams.As aptitude tests are considered to be the measure of general intelligence and majority of companies, institutions use aptitude tests as their selection criteria, therefore job-seekers especially freshersmust be well-versed with concepts related to aptitude. Aptitude refers to the competency of a person to learn or acquire knowledge. Most of the jobs in the corporate world require employees to expand their skill set through additional training. Aptitude tells about the mental ability and analytical skills ofindividuals. At IIST, we have a special team of Aptitude Experts to train & develop students’ aptitude skills. The Objective of Career Counseling is to coach and tutor the students with respect to the different profession decisions available to them, as per their inclinations and qualities. This counseling helps students in making a roadmap of their career according to their choice to be successful.
