The committee has several social media platforms to connect with the students on WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. Over the years ‘Eminence’ has collaborated with many organizations for achieving its objectives. The students are registered in the DU portal called ‘Internshala’ and the Ministry of Labour and employment for seeking internships and short-term courses. The alumni of the college working in different organisations are a tremendous resource and are invited to interact with the students and give tips on placements and for enrolment in higher studies. A highlight of the committee is the organization of a ‘Placement fair’ or ‘Career expo’ which has seen increasing participation of students and companies/NGOs etc. leading to a very meaningful interaction. The committee maintains visibility on social media and posts news related to events regarding workshops, career opportunities, job fairs in other academic institutions, and information related to the Central placement cell of DU. The Placement cell has matured over the years and aspires to build an interface between academia and industry/ community by instilling within the student body a passion to make education productive and be a financially independent professional to strengthen the brand image of the Institute of Home Economics.
