Institute of Hotel Management (IHM), Silvassa is an autonomous body under the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India. It was established in the year 2010. The institute offers a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) degree in hotel and hospitality administration. The program is jointly offered by IGNOU and National Council for Hotel Management. The campus is spread over an area of 8 acres.

The library is fully air-conditioned and stocked with books for students. It provides a peaceful reading environment.

Training Kitchens

The institute has equipped kitchens managed by experienced faculty for practical sessions. There are 5 types of kitchens:

Training Restaurant and Bar

This facility helps students learn basic techniques and etiquettes required in restaurants and bars. Trainees learn how to handle complaints in restaurants and exchange knowledge with juniors.

In training bars, students learn bar handling procedures and preparation of various mocktails and cocktails.

Front Office Lab

This lab is a replica of a hotel lobby. Students are trained in front office skills and software through role-plays, case studies, and hands-on practice.

Housekeeping Lab and Laundry

This lab has essential equipment to teach cleaning procedures in practical sessions. Students are also trained in handling and cleaning heavy laundry equipment.

Training Guest Room

Students are taught bed making procedures and cleaning procedures here.

Computer Lab

The computer lab helps students learn front office PMS software. Students gain hands-on practice on the latest software.
