<p>BE seat allotment at JU is based solely on <strong>WBJEE 2026 rank</strong>. No interview or group discussion round is conducted by JU.</p>

<li>General category seats are split: <strong>State Quota (90%)</strong> for West Bengal domicile candidates and <strong>All India Quota (10%)</strong> for all WBJEE rankers.</li>

<p>Selection for the GATE category is based on GATE score combined with performance in a JU admission test. Some programmes are exempt from the test entirely.</p>

<li>Programmes with <strong>no admission test</strong>: Energy Science and Technology, Biomedical Engineering, and Computer Science. Admission to these programmes is based on GATE score alone.</li>

<li>GATE category semester tuition is <strong>INR 2,400</strong>. Sponsored category tuition is <strong>INR 24,000 per semester</strong>. All students pay an additional <strong>INR 360</strong> in admission-related fees.</li>
