Students' Progression and Industry Relations Cell (SP & IR) works towards creating employment and progression opportunities for students. To enhance students' employability, the SP & IR Cell provides various training programmes in soft skills, aptitude, and basic technical skills through internal and external experts. Apart from facilitating job and internship opportunities, the SP & IR Cell works closely with the Entrepreneurship Development Cell, Foreign University Relations Cell, and Alumni Association Cell, ensuring a conducive environment for student progression.

The Cell also provides guidance and support to students aspiring to pursue higher education abroad. In addition, the SP & IR Cell fosters a robust ecosystem for budding entrepreneurs. RSCOE has signed MoUs with TCS, Bentley Systems, Zensar Technologies, TAL, and more than 20 other corporations. The SP & IR Cell leverages these collaborations to deliver training in Japanese, German, and French languages, design industry-centric curricula, and train students in Software Development, Software Testing, and Automation & Robotics.

The Student Progression & Industry Relations (SP & IR) Cell has dedicated infrastructure comprising a Recruiter Discussion Room, Interview Cabins, a Conference Room, and video conferencing facilities. The entire facility is equipped with Wi-Fi connectivity to support seamless communication and recruitment activities.

The SP & IR Cell is supported by a dedicated team consisting of the Dean-SPIR, Training and Placement Officer (TPO), Assistant TPO, core team members, departmental faculty coordinators, and student placement coordinators who guide and support students in their career development and placement activities.

The SP & IR Cell provides Calyx Pod, a Career Automation Platform, through which students can apply for various internship and placement opportunities. Students register on the platform and update their academic credentials, skills, and resumes. The platform enables students to receive notifications about internship and placement drives, view company profiles, job descriptions, eligibility criteria, stipend/salary details, and apply for suitable opportunities. The platform streamlines data management and facilitates efficient coordination of recruitment processes.

The Cell provides training in aptitude, soft skills, and technical skills, along with placement preparation, career guidance, and counselling for competitive examinations such as GATE, CAT, GRE, TOEFL, and IELTS.

The Cell conducts mock interviews, company-specific aptitude tests, group discussion sessions, and technical interview preparation sessions to enhance students’ employability. It also facilitates internship opportunities by inviting organizations for internship recruitment drives.

The Cell offers Japanese, French, and German language training programmes, along with communication skills development and employability enhancement training.
