Murshidabad University is a public state university situated on the eastern bank of the river Bhagirathi in Berhampore, Murshidabad of the state of West Bengal. The University is affiliated with UGC (Universities Grant Commission). Murshidabad University aspires to offer quality education in different fields such as Science, Arts and Commerce and create a niche for skilful youths who will be empowered in the nation building process. Further, the University plans to establish new centres for Excellencies in Tourism, Food, Wood, Health, Physical education etc in upcoming years.
