National Institute of Technology Jamshedpur, established in 1960, is a public technical and research institute. Also known as NIT Jamshedpur, this institute was among the first 8 Regional Engineering Colleges in India. It was set up by the central government and the Bihar government in a joint venture. With a 93.76% placement rate, the highest package secured was INR 82 LPA. The average package stood at INR 12.63 LPA, reflecting strong placement trends.
