National University of Advanced Legal Studies (NUALS) Kochi offers undergraduate, postgraduate, doctoral, and diploma programmes in law. The flagship course is a 5-year integrated B.A. LL.B. (Hons.). It also offers a one-year LL.M., a Ph.D. in Law, and Post Graduate Diploma programmes.
Admission to the B.A. LL.B. and LL.M. is through the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT). The Ph.D. admission is based on a university entrance test followed by an interview. Diploma admissions are based on merit.
Here are the courses, their duration, eligibility, and fees:
- B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) – 5 years. Eligibility is 10+2 in any stream with required marks and a valid CLAT UG score. The first-year fee is INR 1.25 Lakhs, and the total fee is INR 12.5 Lakhs.
- LL.M. – 1 year. Eligibility is an LL.B. or equivalent degree with a valid CLAT PG score. The total fee is INR 1.29 Lakhs.
- Ph.D. – 3 to 5 years. Eligibility is a Master’s degree in Law with minimum marks, followed by an entrance test and interview. The first-year fee is INR 22,000.
- PG Diploma – 1.5 years. Eligibility is graduation. The total fee is INR 30,000.
