Sangram Bhattacharjee, P.T. Instructor Sports Activities Physical Activity and Sports are essential for our health and Well-being. Sports and Physical activity is as important as another daily routine like academics. NEIGRIHMS has a very vast campus where, MBBS students, B.SC Nursing students, Residents, Faculty, Staff and their family resides. To ensure Physical Activity for all NEIGRIHMS, Shillong is trying to promote Sports Activities for all the Students, Faculty, Staff, and their families. Presently our Indoor Stadium is being used for Sports activities like Basketball, Badminton, Table Tennis, Chess, Dodge Ball and Arm Wrestling. In addition Institute is having one Multi Gym facility, one Squash Court, & one Lawn Tennis Court. The Sports Committee from the year 2017 has started to Celebrate National Sports Day on 29th August and has organised the Basketball Tournament consecutively for the year 2017 & 2018. The committee organised 1st NEIGRIHMS Indoor Tournament beginning from the year 2017 which included Table Tennis, Chess, Badminton and Carrom. All of these highly appreciated by the residents of Institute with enthusiastic participation from various stake holders. The students are also selected to represent our Institute in Inter College Tournament organised by NEHU for every Academic Year. Our MBBS students are also conducting regular Sports events like Basketball, Badminton, Table Tennis, Chess, Chinese Checker, Carrom, Dodge Ball, Arm Wrestling, Football, Cricket, Track & Field Events & March Past Competition during the Euphoria Celebration.
