Progressive Education Society's Modern College of Engineering - [MCOE]

The Institute has a very well-organized placement and training cell. The infrastructure in the placement cell includes a seminar hall for conducting pre-placement talks, discussion rooms, interview rooms and other necessary amenities. The cell has good associations with a large number of renowned companies who visit the institute for campus recruitments. All the students of the final year are prepared for campus interviews through special programs on technical and soft skills, which would help them get prestigious jobs. MCOE had a successful placement season with the participation of leading companies across sectors, offering coveted profiles to the students of ENGINEERING/MBA/MCA. Leading companies from a multitude of sectors participated in the final placements offering ‘sought-after’ profiles with competitive packages. The recruiter portfolio comprised a healthy mix of recruiters from IT sectors, core industries and fast-growing start-ups. Further, few students, with their exceptional effort during their internships and reputed corporate competitions were awarded PPOs (pre placement offers) by highly coveted companies.The graduating students of MCOE have taken the next step in their lives. They have joined the top recruiters in various segments of the economy. The firms participating in the placement seasons over the years appreciated the efforts put in by the students to deliver their best. The new recruiters got a glimpse of campus placement activities and we look forward to strengthening our relations with them over the years to come. The months of training that students endured were fruitful with the efforts of the placement office including the student placement team, combined with an excellent academic system and the opportunity for all round development. The Placement office has taken additional efforts to expand the global outreach and invite more companies resulting in more international offers. Judging from the increased corporate competitiveness, heightened student aspirations, a rapidly changing job market and an increasingly insecure global economy, it is clear that campus placements will be more intensely sought by both students and companies. Placement team has achieved greater milestones and the overall number of students getting placed has remained good with our constant endeavors to create a good placement season. The participating companies managed to honor their respective job offers except in a very few cases. This clearly shows the confidence the corporates have in the PES's MCOE.
