About the Institution
Rajeev Institute of Technology (RIT), Hassan, was established in 2008 under the Rajeev Educational Trust. The institute is approved by AICTE, affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi, and accredited by NAAC. The Information Science & Engineering (ISE) and Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE) departments are NBA accredited.
RIT was granted Autonomous Status under VTU in 2025. Rajeev Institute of Technology offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs in engineering and management, with popular courses including B.E and MBA. Rajeev Institute of Technology Hassan B.Tech ranked 276 in India and 38 in Karnataka by The Week 2025, while it ranked 73 in India by IIRF 2026.
For B.E. Admission candidates must have passed 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Electronics, or Computer Science, securing at least 45% aggregate marks (40% for reserved categories). Admission is based on KCET or COM
