About the Institution
Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology, Mumbai popularly known as RGIT Mumbai, was established in 1992 and is affiliated with the University of Mumbai. and is accredited by NAAC with grade A++. It is also recognised by the AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education). In 2025, MyKollege ranked RGIT Mumbai 553 in the engineering category.
The institute offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs, which lead to two primary degrees: BE and ME. The institute offers a BE program in ten specialisations. Admission to the BE program is through the MHT-CET or JEE Mains, followed by counselling.
