Saintgits signs MoU with National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM) to offer joint programmes and capacity building in Financial Markets.The objective of the partnering of these two institutions is to jointly design and deliver specialized programmes with particular emphasis on the Securities Market and Wealth Management areas. The programmes will be offered to address the growing need among students and working professionals to have an understanding of the financial markets. Further, the joint initiative also focuses on offering management development programmes and faculty development programmes along with financial literacy and investor awareness programmes.

“The practitioner-oriented joint certification programmes will enable our students to stand out from the crowd and secure the best jobs in the finance industry, in sectors such as investment banking, asset management, and consultancy”, said Shri Thomas T John, Director, Saintgits Group of Professional Institutions. The participants in the programme will also be trained on the Bloomberg Terminals which will be an added advantage. Saintgits is establishing a Bloomberg powered Finance Lab, which when functional will be the second such instance of this scale in South India. The Finance Lab will offer students a global perspective and Saintgits is striving to incorporate the use of Bloomberg Professional Services in a maximum of their MBA courses.

The aim of this nationally recognized certificate programme is to equip graduate and undergraduate students for careers in various types of firms operating in the Securities Markets and in IT/ITES companies that are engaged in offering technical support to these firms.

Total of 100 hours – 50 hours of theory, 40 hours of practical, hands-on, e-learning and classroom discussion sessions, 10 hours of simulation training along with NISM certification exams and Bloomberg Market Concepts Certification exam.
