American Alumni Association AAA – Financial Aid for Eligible Students – Students Grants for 2009-2010 The AAA provides financial assistance to needy students who want to study in the U.S. The AAA is a voluntary organization established in 1968, whose members are alumni of various US Universities, currently residing in India. AAA is a non-profit organization registered as a charitable institution under the Bombay Public Trust Act, 1950 and is approved under section 80 (G) of the Income Tax Act. Currently AAA has more than 600 members on its rolls. As a not for profit organization AAA has been supporting Indian students to go to the U.S. for further studies for he past 26 years. We have supported 200 students till date and we have a goal to extend a supporting hand to many more. American Alumni Association Financial Aid for Eligible Students The American Alumni Association (AAA) Students Grants for 2009-2010* Students Seeking to Pursue Post-Graduate Education In The USA: The AAA provides financial assistance of Rs. 50,000** each, to those students who have secured admission or have an admission offer from a U.S. institute for post-graduate education. Election Criteria Include: ( a) Educational and co-curricular accomplishments; ( b) Relevance of educational program; (c) The financial need of the student and his or her family; and (d) The stature of the U.S. university relative to the desired program. Meritorious and needy students who make the final list are required to attend a personal interview.
