About this Scholarship
Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, also known as Amrita University, is a university established under section 3 of the UGC Act 1956.
The university focuses on higher education and research in the areas of Engineering, Medicine, Management, Science, Education, Mass Communication and Social Work.
It has five campuses at Amritapuri (Kollam), Bengaluru, Coimbatore, Kochi and Mysore, with around 15000 students studying in various disciplines.
The university conducts an Engineering Entrance Examination every year on an all India basis for admission to the 4 year B.Tech. Degree programmes offered in the three campuses at Amritapuri (Kollam), Bengaluru and Ettimadai (Coimbatore).
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the B.Tech admissions, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Meet the age limit of 17 to 22 years as on 31st December 2016.
- Pass the 10+2 or equivalent examination with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.
- Qualify in the Engineering Entrance Examination conducted by Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham.
