BINC,Bioinformatics National Certification Examination
About this Scholarship
The Bioinformatics National Certification (BINC) Examination is conducted by the University of Pune on behalf of the Department of Biotechnology (DBT) of the Government of India.
The objective of this examination is to certify bioinformatics professionals, trained formally as well as self-trained.
Eligible candidates include graduates in Science, Agriculture, Veterinary, Medicine, Pharmacy, Engineering, and Technology. Students in their final year of Bachelor's degree are also eligible to apply.
The examination fee is Rs. 600 for general category, Rs 450 for reserved category, and US $100 for foreign students.
The examination is scheduled on two days and consists of three parts: an objective type paper, a short answer type paper, and a computer-based practical paper.
Candidates who secure a minimum of 40% in all three papers will be awarded certification.
Research fellowships will be awarded to 15 BINC qualified Indian nationals to pursue Ph.D. in Indian Institutes and Universities.
