About this Scholarship
Birla Institute of Technology & Science, Pilani, offers admissions to the B. Pharmacy (Hons.) programme for academic year 2014-15.
Applications are invited from bright students of 12th class with Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Mathematics subjects.
The Department of Pharmacy of BITS Pilani, established in 1950, is one of the few early schools of Pharmacy in India.
The B. Pharm. program is offered at Pilani and Hyderabad Campuses of BITS Pilani.
Alumni of Pharmacy Department, BITS Pilani are well placed in India as well as abroad in various pharmaceutical companies, government organizations like drug control, research laboratories, etc., and in several well known academic institutions.
The programme is an amalgamation of foundation skills, pharmacy essentials, research, management and is highly flexible with an opportunity for electives, projects, vertical transfer to M. Pharmacy, etc.
It allows students to specialize in research, clinical pharmacy and entrepreneurship.
Eligibility Criteria
Eligibility criteria for admission to the B. Pharmacy (Hons.) programme are:
- 12th class examination of 10+2 system from a recognized Central or State board or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Biology in 12th class.
- Candidates with PCM may also apply for Pharmacy program.
- The candidate should have obtained a minimum of 75% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Mathematics subjects in 12th class examination.
- At least 60% marks in each of the Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Mathematics subjects.
- Adequate proficiency in English.
