Central Institute of Fisheries Nautical And Engineering Training Central Institute of Fisheries Nautical And Engineering Training – Admission Notification 2013-2015 1.The Central Institute of Fisheries Nautical & Engineering Training (CIFNET) at Kochi/ Chennai/ Visakhapatnam offers career training to candidates in Vessel Navigator and Marine Fitter Trades which have been introduced by Directorate General of Employ?ment & Training, Ministry of Labour, New Delhi under Craftsman Training Scheme of NCVT. The training courses of 24 months duration include basic practical training on board fishing vessels out at sea. The courses are scheduled to be commenced from 1st August 2013. 2.Applications in the prescribed form are invited from eligible candidates for admission to the above courses through entrance examination to be held on 22ndJune 2013 at Kochi, Chennai, Visakhapatnam, Kolkota, Delhi, Bhubaneswar & Bombay. If sufficient candidates are not available in particular centre, the next nearest centre will be allot?ted for appearing Entrance examination. Further, the selected candidates will be paid Rs.700/- (Seven hundred) per month as stipend. 3. Qualification:- (i) Essential: Pass in 10th Standard (SSLC) or equivalent examination with 40% in Maths and Science separately. The candidates who are appearing 10th Examination during March 2013 are also eligible to apply. However the selection will be made only through marks obtained in 10th and Entrance examination. (ii) Desirable: One year fishing experience, (iii) Age: 16 to 20 years as on 1st August 2013 Candidates born between-02.08.93 and 02.08.97 (both days inclusive) are only eligible to apply. Upper age limit is relaxable to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe candidates by 5 years. 4.
