About this Scholarship
The Centre for Economic and Social Studies, Hyderabad in collaboration with Teiangana University, Nizamabad invites applications for Admission into Ph.D Programme in Development Studies for the Academic Year 2017-18.
The Programme is offered in the following subjects:
- ECONOMICS
- SOCIOLOGY/ANTHROPOLOGY/SOCIAL WORK
- GEOGRAPHY/GEO-INFORMATICS
- POLITICAL SCIENCE/PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION
- DEVELOPMENT STATISTICS (With Specialization in Econometrics)
- COMMERCE /BUSINESS MANAGEMENT (Related to Research Areas of CESS)

The Entrance Test will be conducted at CESS, Hyderabad on 13th August 2017 and Interviews will be held on 26th & 27th August 2017.

Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria for the Ph.D Programme in Development Studies is as follows:
- Master's degree in the relevant subject with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate.
- NET/JRF/SLET qualified candidates are exempted from entrance test.
