About this Scholarship
The 2020-2021 Chinese Government Scholarship—Chinese University Program is a scholarship for international students.
This scholarship is offered by the Chinese Government and is administered by the China Scholarship Council.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must:
- be a citizen of a country other than the People’s Republic of China and be in good health;
- have a bachelor’s degree for Master’s degree applicants and be under the age of 35, or have a master’s degree for Doctoral degree applicants and be under the age of 40;
- not be registered students studying in China when applying for this scholarship;
- meet the language requirements:
- for Chinese-taught Programs: have passed HSK4 when applying, and one-year Chinese training is required after enrollment;
- for English-taught Programs: have a valid English level certificate (IELTS 6.0 or TOEFL 60, or other corresponding level of English proficiency certificate) and pass HSK3 when graduating from SNNU;

<ol><li>Complete the online application procedure at CSC Online Application System for International Students (http://www.campuschina.org/) and submit the completed Application Form for Chinese Government Scholarship online and print a hard copy;</li><li>Complete the online application procedure at Shaanxi Normal University Online Application System for International Students (https://snnu.17gz.org/) and submit the completed Application Form for Chinese Government Scholarship online and print a hard copy;</li><li>Submit all application documents by post to International Students Office before the deadline;</li><li>Conduct preliminary examination of materials, interviews and comprehensive assessment;</li><li>After the final auditing by the China Scholarship Council, the admission name list will be announced online;</li><li>All applicants who do not receive the Chinese Government Scholarship will automatically be considered as candidates for the Shaanxi Normal University International Student Scholarship.</li></ol>
