About this Scholarship

1. Commonwealth Shared Scholarship Students from developing countries who would not otherwise be able to study in the UK can apply for Commonwealth Shared Scholarships for Master’s study, jointly supported by Cranfield University. Eligible Course: * Advanced Mechanical Engineering MSc * International Defence and Security MSc Eligibility Criteria To apply for these scholarships, you must: * Be a Commonwealth citizen, refugee, or British protected person * Be permanently resident in a developing Commonwealth country * Be available to start your academic studies in the UK by the start of the UK academic year in September/October 2017 * By August 2017, hold a first degree of at least upper second class (2:1) honours standard * Not have studied or worked for one (academic) year or more in a developed country * Be unable, either yourself or through your family, to pay to study in the UK How to Apply: There are two steps to applying for the scholarship, you can do these simultaneously. The first is to apply for admission to Cranfield University. You must indicate in the ‘funding’ section of you application for admission that you wish to be nominated for the Commonwealth Shared Scholarship. In 2017 there are two courses at Cranfield included in the Commonwealth Shared Scholarship Scheme. These are MSc International Defence and Security and MSc Advanced Mechanical Engineering.
