About this Scholarship
Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT) is a renowned university in China, established in 1920 in Harbin, Heilongjiang. It is a National Key University with a strong focus on science and engineering, and has developed to include management, liberal arts, economy, law, and other disciplines.
HIT is a member of China's top nine University Union (C9) and has a strong reputation globally, ranking No.2 in China and No.6 globally in the US News ranking for the Best Global Universities for Engineering.
The HIT Independent Recruitment Program is a scholarship program for international students outside of China who wish to pursue a master's or PhD degree. This program is part of the Chinese Government Scholarship (CSC scholarship) and is assigned by the Ministry of Education (MOE) to the university to recruit outstanding international students.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must be non-Chinese nationality in good health.
- International students out of China or former graduates of Chinese universities.
- Applicants must meet the following educational background and age requirements:
- Master's degree studies: Bachelor's degree and under the age of 35.
- Doctoral degree studies: Master's degree and under the age of 40.
- Excellent performance in study.
- Good ability in scientific research.
- Note: The scholarship cannot be combined with any other scholarship.
