INDIAN INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY KHARAGPUR – ADMISSION TO MBA PROGRAMME INDIAN INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY KHARAGPUR Vinod Gupta School of Management ADMISSION TO 2013-2015 MBA PROGRAMME Vinod Gupta School of Management is the first B-school in the IIT system offering 2-year, full-time, residential MBA programme. Candidates must possess First class Bachelor’s degree in any branch of Engineering/ Technology or First class Master’s degree In Science. Economics or Commerce with Mathematics or Statistics at Bachelor’s level to be eligible to apply to the school. There is a relaxation of 5% in marks or equivalent CGPAfor SC/ST candidates. Our institute uses CAT for short-listing the candidates for our MBA programme. IIMs have no role either in the selection process or in the conduct of programme. The school follows GOI norms on the reservation of seats for SC/ST/OBC candidates and persons with disability. IIT Kharagpur is committed to ensure that a student’s financial resources do not become a constraint for pursuing MBA education at the school. The school has put in place a liberal financial aid programme that offers partial or full assistance for upto 30% of the enrolled students. In addition, bank loans may be availed by students at preferential rates and payment terms to meet their fees and expenses. A candidate’s need for financial resources for pursuing the MBA course will not be considered while taking the decision to offer admission to the candidate.
