Marine Engineering Admission Notice To +2 students Marine Engineering Admission Notice Based on the assessed need for adequately trained marine engineers to supplement global merchant fleet operation and as per the implementation of International Maritime Organisation (IMO) through 7.04 model course under STCW ?95 (Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping) the Director General of Shipping (DGS), Ministry of Shipping Road Transport & Highways, Government of India has precisely and clearly formed Alternate Training Scheme (ATS). This three year course is absolutely residential including 9 months of duly documented training on board ship as Engineer Cadet as per STCW 95 Code A-III/1 ? IMO Model Course 7.04 Phase II. With approval from the DGS, Chennai School of Ship Management (CSSM) has been conducting ATS ever since the introduction of this course on marine Engineering. As part of the south zone cadets selection process, applications are invited from male candidates (Indian nationals only) for admission into the above course.
