National Institute Of Communicable Diseases Admission To Master Of public Health – Field Epidemiology 2005 NICD National Institute Of Communicable Diseases Website:http://www.nicd.org/ National Institute Of Communicable Diseases-Admission Notice 2005 National Institute Of Communicable Diseases Admission To Master Of public Health – Field Epidemiology 2005 Admission Notice: Master Of public Health – Field Epidemiology (MPH-FE) : A Two-year course The national Institute Of Communicable Diseases (NICD) was started in 1963 as an apex institution under the Directorate General Of Health Services, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government Of India. The functions of the Institute broadly epidemiological investigative and diagnostic services; and applied research. The Institute has a vast experience in outbreak investigation at national & International level. conducting operational studies and deeloping trained manpower. It has been designated as the “WHO Collaboratiing Centre For Epidemiology and Training” since 1996. The main objective of the Centre is to strengthen the epidemiological support services in South East Asian countries. Eligibility: Candidates fulfilling the following criteria are eligible to apply for the course: 1. Candidates with MBBS degree from any recognized institution. 2. Non-Medical candidates with MSc., in Biosciences / allied subjects or B.Tech in Biotechnology from recognized university are also eligible to apply. Sponsored Candidates: In-service personnel with MBBS degree from any recognized institution having five years experience preferably in State or Central Services public & Private Sectors in Medical Institutions, of which last 3 years should be in public health activities. The candidates should be sponsored for two years on a full-time basis to NICD by the respective government / organization. Age: The upper age limit is 45 years for in-service candidates and 28 years for others as on the date of commencement of the course. Number of
