About this Scholarship

Scholarships In Meghalaya are available for Indian students through various examinations.

The Directorate of Educational Research & Training, Meghalaya Shillong invites applications from eligible candidates for the National Talent Search (NTS) State Level Screening Test for Class X and the National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship Scheme (NMMSS) Examination for Class VIII.

The examinations will be conducted on 3rd November, 2018, and the last date for submission of Application Forms is on or before 28th September, 2018.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the examinations, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • For National Talent Search (NTS) State Level Screening Test:
    • Currently studying in Class X in any recognized Schools.
    • NMMSS Awardees are also allowed to appear for NTS Examination.
    • Interested Candidates can apply for the Examination.
  • For National-Means-cum-Merit Scholarship (NMMS) Examination:
    • Currently reading in Class VIII in Government, Government Aided and Local Body Schools.
    • Have scored at least 55% (50% for SC/ST) marks in Class VII Promotion Examination.
    • Not studying in Kendriya Vidyalayas, Jawahar Navodayas and Residential Schools run by Central and State Government.
    • Parental Annual Income from all sources should not exceed Rs.1,50,000/- (Rupees One Lakhs Fifty Thousand) only.
