Sri Guru Nanak Dev Khalsa College was established in 1973 as Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Khalsa Post Graduate Evening College. In mid 90’s it became a day college and subsequently in July 2005, it was made into a full fledged morning college.The College believes in imparting education to young evolving minds by empowering them through capacity-building, enabling them to think, imagine, analyse, assess and express themselves through various activities. The vision is to see S.G.N.D. Khalsa College as a torch-bearer by inculcating basic moral values, community development, and providing fair access to the poor and socially disadvantaged groups in the light of changing economic, social and cultural development. Bhai Gurdas Library tries to fullfil the objectives of the college.
Library contains comprehensive collections of journals, international Journals, nearly fifty magazines, newspapers and is home to several thousand books on a variety of subjects. The library has Book Bank and Students’ Aid Fund for lending textbooks to needy and deserving students for the entire semester. Latest web-centric version of the LSEase EJB with new features which provides better Open Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) facilities to the users, IT section for the student and faculty members for searching of e-resource. The Library is fully computerized and centrally air-conditioned.
